Barbara Jacobs has been in the business in some form or another since 1987. She started out independently and then formed Jacobs Kaplan Events. After her partner, Renee, wanted to become a full-time mom; Barbara Jacobs Events was born.

Barbara went to Loyola Marymount University graduating with a degree in English and a minor in Business. While at Loyola, Barbara, successfully helped stage a writers series featuring John Irving.

Barbara worked as a nonprofit executive director for Public Education Programs for two years and is very skilled at understanding limited budgets and the need to multitask. Her event experience ranges from an intimate political dinner party to multi-day food and music festivals with five stages, seven gates and 50,000 people in attendance.

Prior to beginning any event, we will sit down and consult with you and make sure we understand your vision. Our job is allow you to be a guest at your own event. Barbara Jacobs Events works with the best venues and vendors in the country. From lighting design, sound technicians, stage hands, backline techs, crew, security, catering, audio/visual arrangements, theme, rentals, decorations, printed materials to centerpieces...we can do it all!
